About us

We are 1st year Master Program students of Automatic Control Systems Department of Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI”. We’ve got a Bachelor’s Degree in Automation and Mechatronics but in Russian. Now we are studying in the English program, also in Automation and Mechatronics.

We came to Saint Petersburg from different cities of our country: Kirill is from Murmansk, Alexander is from Tolyatti and Vladislav is from Satka. Initially, we studied in different groups, and now we are studying together.

Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI” is one of the earliest technical universities in Europe. Alexander S. Popov, an invertor of the first radio receiving device, worked here from 1901 to 1905.

Another scientist, Zhores I. Alferov, received his B. S. here in 1952. He is famous for being awarded a Nobel Prize in Physics 2000 “for developing semiconductor heterostructures used in high-speed- and opto-electronics”.

Generally, we are more experienced with microcontrollers programming, also we study programming ourselves (e.g. C++, C#), but it’s not a part of our studying in the university. We had some subjects related to electrical engineering, electrical drives, power electronics, but that was not the main part of our course.

Why did we apply to the exchange program? The answer is very simple – We are interested in any opportunity to develop ourselves, especially if we have the opportunity to get international experience.
